R. Kelly who recently released his 11th album “Write me Back” will return back to Chicago for his vocal cords to be treated. The bus was about 3 hours from NYC when they turned back around when Kelly started to feel some discomfort in his throat. His discomfort came from his surgery back in 2011 where doctors had to drain an abscess on one of his tonsils.

R. Kelly was supposed to appear on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” and NBC’s “Today” show and a book-launch party. The reps of Kelly do not know how long the star will be sidelined. Kelly was busy promoting his upcoming book “Soulcaster the Diary of Me” but the he started feeling discomfort in his throat so he decided to cancel his appearances.
