Bill Clinton reunited with his son from Uganda

President Clinton meets 14-year-old Bill Clinton in Uganda. President Clinton first met Bill in Uganda in 1998, when Bill was two days old. Bill was named after President Clinton because he was born on the day the President arrived in Uganda.

The boy was initially not on the former President’s schedule, and members of his family did not know the 65-year-old Clinton was visiting Uganda until the Daily Monitor informed them that he was coming two days before the visit.
The 14-year-old Clinton was flown from his hometown of Jinja to Entebbe with his mother as the Bill Clinton Foundation and African officials worked together to make the reunion happen. It was the first time that Master Bill Clinton Kaligani flew on a plane.
The former President was in Uganda to support an effort to “eliminate diarrheal deaths among Ugandan children,” according to the Innovations For Poverty Action blog.
